Description

PA/ABS alloys are composed of blends of polyamide (PA) and ABS polymers.

The basis of this alloy is the dispersion of the PA phase into the ABS matrix. The dispersion is chemically bonded, so that the structure remains stable even under the most severe processing conditions or recycling. By varying the ratio of the two polymers, PA and ABS, a family of alloys is produced suitable for a wide range of engineering applications.

Characteristics

PA/ABS alloys are characterized by their superior resistance to impact, chemical resistance and heat resistance. They are very easy to process and are especially appropriate for thin wall injection molding. The use of PA/ABS alloys can provide a wide range of surface finishes, from very high gloss to matt.

Applications

Enclosures for business equipment and electrical appliances, such as housings for notebook computers and cellular phones.
Mechanical parts for computer and business equipment.
Electronic components, including terminal blocks, connectors, switches and bobbins.
Power tools and agricultural implement parts.
Business chairs and castors.
Automotive applications both inside and outside the car.
